We have gotten off to a great start this week and I am looking forward to another successful time at Gibson Elementary. Speaking of "success" our class has filled in the Paw Prints for our specials with all the signatures that we needed. This is great because it shows that our students are listening and havning P.R.I.D.E. in their school.
This week at a glance:
- Math: Rounding, place value, ordering & comparing numbers, standard & expanded forms
- Reading: Main Idea and Summarizing. Reading "Frindle" by Andrew Clements
- Writing: Bio-Poems and Bad Case of Stripes Story
- Social Studies: North Carolina and it's location on earth, North America and in relation to other states. The ethinic and cultural differences in the state.
- Spelling words for this week are: bridge, gravity, hungry, eclipse, secret, applaud, laundry, trouble, attract, twilight, between, describe, snowflake, freedom, slimy, glance, burglar, switch
We are hoping that the AR testing will begin after Labor Day so remember to keep reading those books!!!!!!!!
